Fun with COVID-19 reporting in MA (and elsewhere)

It's been a couple weeks so let's take another 14-day comparison of how states are doing. One quick note, when doing my outside MA reporting, I always use the "report date" instead of the more accurate "test date" data that I use for the MA reporting ("report date" data are just easier to locate). Just a friendly reminder that the residence-based settings are removed on account of, well, you can't really prevent spread within a place of living, so the effort has to be preventing it from spreading outside and coming in.  Child Care has reclaimed its place at the top as it nearly doubled in spread.  Restaurants & Food Courts and Social Gatherings have each decreased substantially, potentially as a result of people starting to realize that we're back to high levels of spread, but they're still high. Each number is the outcome of taking this week's data, subtracting the data from 2 weeks ago, and dividing by 14 (to get the per day) and then dividing by the population of the location (to get the per person) and then multiplying by 100,000 (to get the per 100,000 people per day) Information closest to the city/town name is the most recent information and spans backward in time so that a comparison can be made not just to the worst spread or the last few weeks' but going back to last summer....
