Fun with MA COVID-19 Reporting 03-Aug-2021 Edition
Yesterday I predicted that today's report would show that last week surpassed the average 633.1 cases per day from October 4-10 2020... I was right. I now predict that tomorrow's report will see last week surpassing the 699.4 cases per day we saw the week of October 11-17 2020 and that by week starting 29-Aug, we'll be beyond the peek of the first wave in 2020 (2176.9 cases per day) (which we'll know by 10-Sep). Below are the updated numbers.
- June 13-19 2021 - 71.9 cases per day (1.04 cases per 100,000 people per day)
- June 20-26 2021 - 66.0 cases per day (0.96 cases per 100,000 people per day)
- Jun 27-Jul 3 2021-78.7 cases per day (1.14 cases per 100,000 people per day)
- July 4-10 2021 - 117.6 cases per day (1.71 cases per 100,000 people per day)
- July 11-17 2021- 263.1 cases per day (3.81 cases per 100,000 people per day)
- July 18-24 2021- 476.6 cases per day (6.91 cases per 100,000 people per day)
- July 25-31 2021- 695.6 cases per day (10.09 cases per 100,000 people per day)
Oh, also, the prediction from Sunday that every weekday from last week would reach 700 cases per day by Wednesday this week has come true already with Monday being the lowest at 710 and Friday still increasing but reaching 743 today. The last day before last week that reached 700 was May 10.... so we've regressed nearly 3 months.
Stay safe. Stay informed.
