New hospitalizations continued their downward trend last week. With that said, all hospital indicators so far for the first 3 days of this week shows a reversal of this downward trend with total covid patients in hospitals, the count of patients intubated and the count of patients in the ICU all going down last week but all increasing so far this week... and the daily average new hospitalizations has rebounded to 70 new hospitalizations per day. Here's hoping things go back to improving again for the rest of the week.
Cases also appear to be decreasing with 2 weeks in a row of reduced cases.
June 20-26 2021 - 65.7 cases per day ( 0.95 cases per 100,000 people per day)
Jun 27-Jul 3 2021 - 79.1 cases per day ( 1.15 cases per 100,000 people per day)
July 4-10 2021 - 118.1 cases per day ( 1.71 cases per 100,000 people per day)
July 11-17 2021 - 264.3 cases per day ( 3.83 cases per 100,000 people per day)
July 18-24 2021 - 478.7 cases per day ( 6.94 cases per 100,000 people per day)
July 25-31 2021 - 721.4 cases per day (10.47 cases per 100,000 people per day)
August 01-07 2021 - 999.7 cases per day (14.50 cases per 100,000 people per day)
August 08-14 2021 -1158.1 cases per day (16.80 cases per 100,000 people per day)
August 15-21 2021 -1319.0 cases per day (19.14 cases per 100,000 people per day)
August 22-28 2021 -1445.9 cases per day (20.98 cases per 100,000 people per day)
Aug 29-Sep 4 2021 -1556.9 cases per day (22.59 cases per 100,000 people per day)
Sep 12-18 2021 -1655.9 cases per day (24.02 cases per 100,000 people per day)
Sep 19-25 2021 -1512.0 cases per day (21.94 cases per 100,000 people per day)
We've got a long way to go and are still likely weeks away from being out of the High CDC rating of spread and back down to the Substantial spread.... and that's of course assuming we keep to the downward trend.
